In The Community
Metal and Soul is very active in the community and takes time to make sure that they enrich the community around them. The students have a community service level of 30hours each to achieve every season and take great pride in being a reliable asset to Capac area. These are some of the programs the team is affiliated with. Soup Kitchen. The team assists the Capac Ministerial Association in serving meals at the local soup kitchen periodically. The students help set up, serve, and clean up, in partnership with area churches.

Adopt a Road
The team cleans up a one mile stretch of road that leads into town three times a year. This is the oldest standing community service they do, going all the way back to the teams first year.
Relay for Life

Every June the team participates in Capac’s relay for life, raising funds in support of the American Cancer Society. One lucky mentor volunteers to be “Mr. Relay” who dresses up as a woman and seeks funds from other teams.
Be Very Afraid Extra
Metal and Soul participated in the very first “Be Very Afraid eXtra” event held in the United States. This event is held in Marysville this past August. The main goal is to showcase what children are doing in, and out of school with a focus STEM education. Students and visitors, in formal conversations were cpatured by film crews. MACUL

MACUL: Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning. MACUL was an event where students share their usage of technology with legislators, educators and business leaders. The event was held November 2nd at the Michigan Capital Building in Lansing.
Center for Missing and Exploited Children

The team assists the Center for Missing and Exploited Children by posting photos of missing children in the area and giving them some exposure here on the site. If you click on the image above you can donate now, to help in the effort to find missing children.
